FUSION Youth Group

Who We Are:

The FUSION Youth group was founded in 2002 with seven youth and five willing youth leaders.  More often than not, youth leaders would outnumber the youth.  Today we have over a hundred youth with twenty dedicated youth leaders, our own praise team made up of youth and adults, several active missions and ministries, Christian Education classes, and youth-planned worship.  God has blessed us greatly as we attempt to live out His purposes for as a youth group. 

Ages:

All youth from 6th to 12th grade are welcome to attend.

Youth Leaders: 

Our youth leaders are some of the most dedicated individuals in the church.  They meet to minister to our youth year-round.  If you feel God calling you to this area of service, contact Suzanne for an interview.   All persons at the church that wish to work with children under the age of 18 must undergo a background investigation and attend a Child Abuse Prevention Training.

Wednesday Night Meetings:

We meet every Wednesday night from 6:30 – 8:00 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall for small group time and whole group worship. We take off every school break (Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring, etc.) and for a couple weeks in the summer.  This allows the youth to spend time with their families during natural vacation breaks, and it gives our overworked youth leaders a break with their own families.  Our worship services are upbeat, relevant and usually allow a time for discussion.  In addition, special classes for youth are taught on Sunday nights in the fall and spring. 

Chrysalis:  

A three-day spiritual retreat for youth, equivalent to the Walk to Emmaus.  Chrysalis is a very empowering spiritual event with an opportunity to minister to other youth in the future. Our Purposes: 

Our group exists to help youth grow in their faith and accomplish the following objectives:

• to learn about our faith

•  to involve ourselves in Jesus’ ministry to others

• to gather together in friendship and support

• to honor God with our worship, and

• to tell others of Jesus’ love for them
